
Oliver Quinn
President, CEO and Director
Dr Quinn has more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry across technical, commercial and executive leadership roles. He began his career as a geologist for Shell before moving to the independent sector in a variety of private equity startups, mid-size and large E&P companies. Dr Quinn has worked extensively across Africa, Americas, Asia and Europe in business development and asset leadership, building and managing significant oil and gas portfolios through the full exploration, development and production cycle. Dr Quinn holds a BSc in Geology from the University of Manchester, a PhD in Geoscience from the University of Edinburgh and executive leadership qualifications from London Business School and Harvard Business School.

Aldo Perracini
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Perracini was previously the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Managing Board of Prime. Mr. Perracini worked in the investment banking industry in Brazil for six years before joining Prime, mostly in the Private Equity division of BTG Pactual, and participated in several investment processes and had roles on the advisory boards of the investee companies. Mr. Perracini has been working with Prime since 2014, based out of the Netherlands, holding the following different positions: Manager of Strategy and Planning; Commercial Director; Chief Financial Officer; and, since 2022, Chief Executive Officer. Throughout his time at Prime, Mr. Perracini has managed the US$3 billion investment by Prime in Nigeria and led successful financing rounds for Prime in excess of US$4 billion.

Joanna Kay
Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary
Ms. Kay is a senior lawyer with over 15 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry across a wide range of international jurisdictions. She joined the company from BW Energy where she was VP, Associate General Counsel and Company Secretary. She has considerable experience both in private practice with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, Andrews Kurth and Ashurst and as a lawyer with Tullow Oil plc. Her background includes advising on all aspects of the hydrocarbons industry and she has worked across Africa, South America, Europe and the Middle East with a particular focus on transactions and M&A, joint ventures, financing, commercial and contract law. Ms. Kay holds an MA in History from the University of Cambridge and is a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.

Tom Haffenden
Chief Human Resources Officer
Mr Haffenden has over 20 years’ experience as an HR professional, holding senior UK and International HR roles across several sectors. He joins Meren from Northrop Grumman where he was HR Director for their UK business. Prior to this, he was UK HR Director for China General Nuclear Power Corporation, playing a key role in developing their entry into the UK civil nuclear sector. Mr Haffenden has held senior HR roles at Subsea 7 and Technip, including assignments at Genesis O&G Consultants and Forsys Subsea, where he was Global HR Director and VP HR respectively. Prior to this, he worked for Balfour Beatty’s engineering construction business and started his career as a graduate trainee at Serco. He has worked at EXCOM level, partnering with CEO’s on HR strategy, organisational development and change, integration, reward, resourcing and employee relations. Mr Haffenden holds a BA Hons in Psychology from Newcastle University and an MSc in Organisational from City University, London.
